Wonderful aromas of passionfruit and citrus blossom introduce this aromatic, full-bodied wine. The palate is well balanced with succulent passionfruit and fresh herb characters, fine minerality and a long lingering finish.

This wine was crafted from grapes sourced off our Home Block Vineyard located on the free draining stony loam soils of the Hope Plains in sunny Nelson. Careful work in the vineyard to remove leaf from around fruit zone resulted in clean ripe grapes with bright, classic Sauvignon Blanc flavours. In the winery the clear juice was cool fermented in two stainless steel tanks using specially selected yeast strains to enhance fruit aroma and flavour. Each component was then held separate and matured for six weeks on yeast lees to allow the fruit characters to fully integrate. The two components were then carefully blended to make the Brightwater Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc.
