Two Golds at NZIWS

We’re delighted that two of our wines have been awarded Gold Medals at the New Zealand International Wine Show – one of New Zealand’s most prestigious wine competitions with the head judge being Master of Wine – Bob Campbell.

Brightwater Vineyards 2012 Lord Rutherford Barrique Chardonnay and Brightwater Vineyards 2014 Nelson Pinot Gris were both awarded Gold Medals while Brightwater Vineyards 2014 Sophie’s Kiss Rose was awarded silver.

There were 2,130 wines entered from around the world and a total of 206 received Gold Medal status. The awards dinner with announcement of trophies is on 27th September in Auckland.

Last week the same Brightwater Vineyards Lord Rutherford 2012 Barrique Chardonnay was awarded the Colin Harrison Memorial Trophy after being selected as Nelson’s top Chardonnay. Praise indeed.

Brightwater Vineyards is one of Nelson’s top producers.
